An Interesting Advertisement

This is a series of posters advertising a premium Brandy. I thought they were a lot of fun, so I pulled the hint off the picture and posted it separately. Because these images are hosted at Slide, you'll have to click once on the image to bring up the page at slide, and then click on it again to see it full size. Have fun figuring them out! Something is happening in this apartment building, can you see it? Something is out of place in this well organized work space, can you spot it? One of these pairs of shoes will be really uncomfortable for the athlete wearing them, do you see which pair it is? There's an infiltrator here, do you see him? That was fun wasn't it? How did you do?

A Lava Lake

The lava lake in the Mount Nyiragongo volcano. This is the lava lake in daylight. At night it's really cool! Up close. Here is another view.

Inside Luna Parc

This is the inside of the Luna Parc house, an astonishing work work in progress by by artist, designer and King-o-Luna, Ricky Boscarino. Looks like the phone is in the bathroom. I wonder if it works. I'll bet it does. This looks like the artist's work space. Look at all those bottles of paint, or are the pottery glazes? And this is obviously the bathroom... If you look closely, you'll see that cool piece with the gravy boats that was shown close up on a previous post. Here's the sink, and the rest of this amazing bathroom! If you look closely, next to the toilet, you will see the little nook that houses the telephone. Ok. I think I've finally seen enough of Luna Parc!

Amazing Animal Action Photos

A squirrel monkey leaps from tree to tree, carrying her baby. A red fox pounces on breakfast. Another red fox plays with her food. Wow. It's the "catch of the day". An awesome shot of a sparrow in the birdbath. A frog caught mid-leap! Bears... they love to have fun! I saved the best for last. Never bother an eagle when he is eating!!

Wood you believe it?

It looks like a car made out of wood. How cool is that? Look at the detail! Yes, it is a car made out of wood, and it's not just a fancy piece of art. This car actually runs! I wonder what the gas mileage is on it... Jerry Nickel spent nearly four years building this masterpiece. There’s little doubt that this car is one of a kind. Nickel got the idea to build a wooden car from an article in a 1955 issue of Hot Rod magazine. Once Nickel retired from the waste collection business, he began making his dream come true. He decided to use two 500-cubic-inch Cadillac V-8 engines because someone told him it wouldn’t work. One engine and transaxle, from an Eldorado, drives the front wheels. The other engine, from a Deville, drives the rear wheels. Although the engines aren’t synchronized, Nickel said they work fine together. It took Nickel more than four years to form the body by laminating 1-inch strips of mahogany. He used 1,000 board-feet feet of wood cut into 4,183 individual pieces, five gallons of glue, 60 pounds of drywall screws and four gallons of varnish.

Adorable cuteness... Everybody loves kittens! Don't they? How cute is that? Awww... and look at this! He's cute and funny. A little "froggy" kitten. And who can resist the peek-a-boo kitty? Well, maybe everyone DOESN'T think kittens are cute!
