Hail Storm!

Here in the midwest, hail storms are not unusual. These pictures are of a spectacular hailstorm in the Middle East, which decimated livestock and SUVs.

Nature's Fury

Tornado season started early this year, so I thought I'd "celebrate" with a small collection of cool tornado pictures. And last, but not least, we have the oldest known tornado photograph taken near Howard, South Dakota on August 28th, 1884

Awesome Clouds

The clouds are called Mammatus clouds. They do not precede a tornado, or foretell a storm, but are formed when the air is already saturated with rain droplets and/or ice crystals and begins to sink. The worst of the storm is usually over when these kind of clouds are seen. They are quite rare, but really beautiful.
