Here are a couple of easy and fun games you can play right there at your desk! All you need is a printer and some colored pencils. Have fun! 3D Football: Decorate the post and ball with crayons or colored pencils. Print and then glue the page to a piece of thin cardboard, for example, a recycled cereal box. Cut out the goal post and the two footballs. Glue the footbal together back to back. Fold the goal post along the dotted line and place a book or heavy object on the flap to keep the goal standing up. Hold the football by pointing one end down on the table and pressing the top with your forefinger. With your other hand flick the ball, with your forefinger. Make the ball go through the goal post. Decision Helper: Decorate the decision helper with crayons or colored pencils. Cut out along the solid lines and glue onto a piece of thin cardboard for example, a recycled file folder. Flip the decision helper over so that the colored side is on the bottom. Fold up along the dotted lines. Fold the flaps in and glue to the inside of the formed cube. Ask a question that would have a yes or no answer. Roll the cube to receive an answer to help you make up your mind. Go Fish Game: 1. Print out several copies of this page and color the fish with crayons or markers. Cut out each fish and punch a hole in the tail fin of each fish. 2. Fold the tail up. Unfold a paper clip to make your "fishing hook." Tie a string to the hook. Holding the string end, "go fishing." 3. Add up the points. After all the fish have been caught, which player has the most points?

A car that runs on air?

Yes, it's true. The Air Car will be starting production soon, thanks to India 's TATA Motors in collabration with a France based company, Motor Development International (MDI). Why is it that a gasless vehicle that eliminates the reason to buy oil from foreign countries isn't already being manufactured here in this country? That's what I'd like to know!! The $12,700 CityCAT, one of the planned Air Car models, reaches 68 mph, goes for a range of 125 miles. It will take only a few minutes for the CityCAT to refuel at gas stations equipped with custom air compressor units. MDI says it should cost only around $2 to fill the car up with 340 liters of air! According to reports the first compressed air technology car or CAT car to be produced would be called the OneCAT, a basic car for urban and rural driving specifically designed to be driven in congested cities and priced in the $5,100 to $7,800 range. Wow! And it's cheap too!! The French company has developed several prototypes of its car since it created the first engine 14 years ago (!!!). It was also expected to bring out a car based on the compressed air technology in 2002. But with speed and power being an issue and in an era when fuel prices were no big deal global carmakers did not risk commercialising CAT cars in the western world. (Stupid, huh?) Tata Motors is expected to begin production of the air car this year. Spain and Australia are other countries which will also begin manufacture of air cars. This is what the engine looks like. I can't wait to buy one!!

Unconquerable Janjeera Fortress

Janjeera fort is built in a pretty interesting setting, on an island out in the Arabian sea, 2 kms from the nearest coast. It is situated 165 kms and more importantly 6 bumpy hours south of Mumbai. The fortress, popularly known as the "unconquerable", withstood the efforts of Sivaji, Sambhaji, Portuguese and the British to conquer it. It was functional up until 1972 when the final 70 odd families relocated to the mainland handing over the fort to the Indian government. It was surprising to know that the fort was actually built and used by Abyssinian merchants who ruled over 3 villages and 3 taluks on the mainland. The fact clearly proves that apart from primates and martians, every other sect of bipeds had control over some part of India sometime in her chequered history. For the trivia buffs, the fort is built on 22 acres of land over 22 years and houses 22 strong watchtowers carrying some of the strongest cannons of its times. The strength of these weapons can be realised from looking at the nearby ruined fort of Samabaji, ruined mainly by the cannons of Janjeera.
